I am an artist and curator based in the Northwest of England. My practice explores the politics of place through a range of activities, which include artworks, writing and public art commissioning. 

Since 2005, I have co-curated the In Certain Places public art programme in Preston, Lancashire. I am also currently completing a practice-based PhD, which examines the ways in which the concept of 'placemaking' has been interpreted within art and regeneration discourses, and offers an alternative reading of place as the basis for a new approach to public art commissioning. I am studying at Birkbeck, University of London, where I also co-teach the MA Arts Management and Urban Development module.
